Generally, printed products use two lamination processes, bright film or matte film, to enhance the texture of the finished product. Some may also use partial lamination to meet printing needs. So, what is the difference between bright film and matte film? Let's learn together.
Bright film, also known as light film: It can be seen from the color differentiation on the surface that the bright film is a bright surface; Transparent and shiny after lamination.
Matte film: By distinguishing colors from the surface, it can be seen that the matte film is a misty surface; Matte matte finish after lamination; Ordinary users use flat paper materials for cover peritoneum, such as business cards, books, brochures, posters, color boxes, and other products. Peritoneum cannot be used for local peritoneum. If it is necessary to achieve local peritoneum effect, other processes such as UV, oiling, etc. can be used! There are also other transparent films made of PVC material, which are generally produced in small quantities and rarely used by users.
Bright film can generally be effectively distinguished from the surface of printed materials, and the surface of the brochure after passing through the bright film will be very shiny with excellent glossiness.
The surface effect of matte film is a layer of mist, which is presented in this state because matte matte is used during the coating process, making it look more artistic. And it feels textured, not as smooth as a light film.
It is understood that BOPP film is often used in the printing process, and its film composition is BOPP+EVA double-layer composite film. Both bright and matte films will use this material, but there are differences in the later operation process. But they are not too complicated, and companies can also choose with or without adhesive layers according to their own needs. Adding adhesive layer can effectively ensure the durability of the brochure. In the long run, it can save costs for the enterprise.
In addition to bright and matte films, other processes can also be used, such as UV glazing, hot stamping, silver stamping, etc. UV glazing can make printed products more durable, while hot stamping can effectively enhance the luxury of printed products, but the price will be relatively expensive. If the enterprise does not have special requirements, the use of bright film and matte film processes can effectively enhance the texture of the brochure.
